There are a lot of factors that go into being a great hurdler but most importantly you need rhythm, power, and quickness. You need to be able to reaccelerate after each hurdle so it is crucial that your training revolves around short bursts of speed, quick steps, and explosive plyometrics. The legs need to be strong but also functional so this program focuses on flexibility, strength training, and hurdle technique. With a combination of hurdle workouts, sprint workouts, and a research based resistance program, it is only a matter of time until you start to see your records fall.
